Speaker Bio
I grew up in Spain and from an early age I was fascinated with technology. I started as a marketer with Software AG in 1996 and quickly I started my journey in sales in IBM, where I had the opportunity not only to enjoy the basics about sales management, but also to learn about the fundamentals in ethics at work.
At 29 I experienced my first startup journey starting Vignette in Iberia from scratch, which eventually became the most successful content management player in EMEA. I then moved in 2008 to HP to help build the company’s software business first in Iberia and later Great Western Europe.
I then faced as next step what I consider one of the biggest challenges in my career: Spearheading the integration of HP’snewly acquired Autonomy business, which pushed me to thelimit due cultural and process-related challenges to merge both organizations.
In 2017 I moved to Dubai to lead the software business for HPE in the Emerging Markets and then, following the company’s spin-merger with Micro Focus in September of 2017, I led the newly-formed combined company’s interests across the Middle East,Africa, Russia and Central and Eastern European regions, leading an organization of over 1,000 employees.
Three years later I was promoted to President of International Sales, managing 95+ countries in EMEA and LATAM.
Throughout my career I have been guided by four key values:Integrity, Respect, Self-Development and Results. These values have also guided my success behind the teams that I led. I believe that my best contribution to the world of technology has been the opportunity and ability to create environments that allow for people to evolve and succeed in their careers.
