Dan is the Chief Information Security Officer of Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (SAINS) since Jan 2023.

He was previously the Director of Cybersecurity for 5 years. SAINS is currently the largest leading IT Services company is Sarawak with customers ranging from local and federal government, and a growing number of enterprises from various key verticals. Earlier years prior to SAINS, he has worked with two US-based companies IDC and Dell.

As a technologist and cybersecurity evangelist, he is passionate about learning and bringing awareness about current and emerging technology trends that can impact or transform our daily life.
He has held several high impact roles such as program lead/ coordinator for Sarawak’s 1st ever International Digital Economy Conference (IDECS) in 2017, a precursor to today’s digital economic drive in Sarawak. More recently, as program designer and co-event manager for the Asia Pacific Cybersecurity Conference 2023 (APSEC), Sarawak’s 1st international cybersecurity event of its kind. He is a regular speaker in customer and partner tech events.

Dan was awarded a Bachelors with Honours in Computer Science with a Major in Information Engineering and a minor in Management. He is an alumni of Oxford Executive Leadership Programme and a certified Organizational Change Management Practitioner (PROSCi).
