Yuanzhe Bei is widely recognized as an expert in the product and technology business of Vertica. He continues to play several critical roles , where he leads the talented R&D team of the Vertica core server, while also serving as the principal architect who provides long term vision for the next generation of the product. Over his over 10 years tenure at Vertica, he has driven various architectural enhancements, including high concurrency performance, cluster operation, system stabilization, and notably the Eon++ project.

Yuanzhe holds a PhD in Computer Science from Brandeis University, with research focusing on machine learning and data mining.
