Stephen Walkauskas is a seasoned software engineer with a distinguished career in distributed analytical databases. Currently, he serves as the VP of Database Engineering at OpenText, leading a talented team of engineers dedicated to tackling complex technical challenges. Stephen's journey to OpenText began with Vertica, where he joined as one of the early employees before the company released its first product. Over the years, he has been instrumental in establishing a development office in Pittsburgh and building a strong engineering team worldwide.

Before joining Vertica, Stephen was among the first employees at Endeca, where he worked for nearly a decade. During his time there, he significantly contributed to the organization's growth from a small team to a billion-dollar company. Stephen holds a B.S. in Physics from Boston College.
