Kate is a Director of Information and Knowledge Management at the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC). She is a passionate advocate for modern information management practices in a digital world, combining technical and business understanding with empathy for end users. Kate has 18 years' experience in Federal Government information management and has provided her subject matter expertise to a number of digital transformation projects, including the implementation of AUSTRAC's Enterprise Content Management solution then based on Opentext Content Server 10.5 in 2015 (a timely upgrade from eDocs 6.05!), integration with line of business solutions and defining controls and procedures for records managed in place. Kate takes a leadership role in the development, design and communication of the agency's strategy and implementation of information governance and information architecture. Kate has an honours degree in Ancient History from Macquarie University and a Masters of Information and Knowledge Management from UTS and actively contributes within the Federal Agencies Information Managers network and other government and law enforcement information management networks. Kate is an Associate Member of Records and Information Management Practitioners Alliance - Global.
