Nigel is Executive Director and Principal of iCognition, a company that provides practical leadership, solutions and services for the management and governance of enterprise information. Nigel founded iCognition’s consulting and services business in 2003, building its practice based on his previous IT policy development and Information Management and Governance (IMG) roles in Commonwealth Dept. of Finance. Over time Nigel has established himself as a leader in the IMG field. As Principal it is his responsibility to ensure his clients receive trusted advice to maximise the value of their information, while minimising cost and risk. He has led and directed IMG Strategic Plans for key clients, defined IMG solution requirements, and designed and implemented IMG solutions to deliver the client value. He has also led the development of iCognition’s new Content Service Platform, Ingress, which aims to deliver content services to staff within their chosen business applications and ensure the right information is available to the right person at the right time, securely and compliantly. Nigel often presents at conferences held by the Institute for Information Management and Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia, as well as industry trade shows. He has written a variety of white papers, including business cases, case studies and solution discussion options papers, available on icognition.com.au.
